Consider the following story;

Lost in the Woods

Have you heard the story about the little child
who was walking with Dad through the woods?

They’d been walking for several hours, and the
end of the woods was nowhere in sight. Dad stopped
to survey the area and assess their situation. There
were no signs of civilization. No houses, no gas stations,
no convenience stores, no cars.

Dad playfully asked the child, “which way should we go?”

“I don’t know, Dad. I’ve never been this way before.”

“Are you saying that you’re lost?” asked dad.

“How could I be lost?” the child responded. “I’m following you”


Our children depend on us and we are their security and stabilizing factor in the world. If we aren’t there who are they going to depend on?

Take a few minutes and think about your relationship with your children.
Then ask yourself a few questions

Am I there for them?
Do I communicate with them?
Do I engage in activities with them?

Communication, time and activities are the keys to good parenting.
