This Article is From Our January 2010 Advice & Tips:

We need to make every week, National Family Week

The Worcester County Commissioners declared November 23rd through November 27th as National Family Week in Worcester County.

The Commissioners set aside this time to focus on our family and explore all of the joys that our family brings’ to us. I know the holidays are busy and things can get really stressful, with Christmas and all that comes with that. But we need to put our family first and that’s usually easier with the holidays around.

I am going to take this a step further we need to make every week National Family Week. We need to take time for our kids, to explore and play. We need to work to help benefit our family financially, it is essential but we don’t need to get carried away and work for the almighty dollar and not our family. Try to look at yourself through your child’s eyes, what do they see? Do you like what you see or do you need to work on things? If you already didn’t know it, time is flying by. So don’t wait another day to plan that special time with those wonderful children of yours.

As the years have started to fly by, don’t fret, you still have time. No matter what your situation you’re in, it’s time to set everything right. Make a plan and push forward with that plan. If you don’t spend enough time with your kids, set aside some time and schedule it in your busy schedule. If you only see your kids every other weekend, sit down and make that time special. If for some reason you can’t see your kids at all, sit down and ask yourself, how did I get here? Once you identify why you can’t see them, than plan and work on yourself, come to terms with things then improve them. I can help. Call me at 410-632-1100 ext 1106, and I’ll find time to sit down with you and generate a plan.

It’s time to make every week, National Family Week. It’s also time to stop putting your family on the back burner and move to another level as Mom or Dad. It’s not too late but time is running short, act now and make your plan!
