Parents Responsibility

BE A RESPONSIBLE PARENT!

As parents we have the responsibility to educate and guide our children down the right path to help them become happy and healthy adults. We also must be positive role models for our children. Here are some ways we need to step up and create this atmosphere:

1) Be involved with your child’s education, go to the school and talk with your child’s teachers, find out what is going on between 8am and 3pm in your child’s life.

2) Think ahead and talk to your kids about their future, be positive and excited, and help them sort out those tough teen years ahead.

3) Educate yourself, take the time and figure out Face Book, Twitter, or anything else the kids are into, don’t wait until it’s too late (after the police are involved) to know what the kids are into.

4) Get on the same page with the other parent. Talk and figure out what is the best option for your child. Even if you are divorced from the other parent.

5) Be the person you would like your child to be. If you want them to have respect, then you must show respect. If you want your kids to have manners, then you must have manners. No excuses.

6) Don’t be afraid to ask for help, nobody knows everything, remember seek out professional help if needed.

7) Have fun with your kids and laugh, it goes a long way.

It’s time to put your thoughts and energy into making a plan for raising your children.
They’ll be out the door before you know it. Call me if you have any questions or need guidance on how to proceed.
